Egyptian
Dwarf Tortoise Testudo kleinmanni
The Egyptian Dwarf Tortoises are represented by a small group of wild
caught
adults and 2.2 captive bred and born offspring. Egyptian
tortoises
are one of the smallest species of tortoise. Females rarely
exceed
4 to 5 inches and males sometimes do not exceed 4 inches plastron
measurement.
We produced these first C.B.B. babies in 1994 and have been growing
them
ever since. The 2.2 captive bred and born young tortoises are
hopefully
a year or two from sexual maturity. These tortoises unfortunately
must stay indoors in Florida year round because in most cases the high
ambient humidity is detrimental to their health over time.
